April 7 - Men's Opener & April 15 - Women's Kick Off Event

The Men's and Women's openers are the start of golf season. We will have food and drink specials available. This is also the first chance that you can get signed up for events and we will have a putting contest. This is when the year begins.

President's Cup

The Presidents Cup is a yearlong two-person Match Play event. Teams are placed into flights based on combined handicap. Flights are split by 21 and under and 22 and over. Teams will be required to schedule their own matches. This event is open to all members.

April 7th - Masters Party

The Masters Party is a celebration of the "Super Bowl" of golf tournaments. Come on out early and get the season started on a good note. We will be celebrating all night and the festivities start around 6pm. We hope to see you here.

April 24th - Straight River Open

The Straight River Open is the opening member tournament of the year. It is a ONE PERSON SCRAMBLE which is a ton of fun and a confidence builder. It is a great chance to meet and play with new players and the format is very low pressure. The event will be held at 9:00 on April 24th and is open to both Men and Women. Please sign up in the golf shop. The cost includes Golf, Food and prizes.

May

May 5th -Super Skins

The Super Skins is a yearlong skins event. We take half of the pot to pay skins today and half goes to the year-end skins game. The top skin winners (gross & net) from each month will play for the super skins in September. Super Skins is held the first Wednesday of each month. Sign up in the golf shop.

May 7th - Evening on the Range

Evening on the Range: This new event will occur at the driving range. We will have multiple club vendors present with their new products available to test out. Drinks and more will be available at the range to create an exciting atmosphere.

May 21st - Wine & 9

These are fun and casual events. The cost is $25 per person and includes cart and field event prizes! The event will begin at 5:00pm with a shotgun start. Wine and appetizers are available every third hole. The only rule is HAVE FUN!

May 31 - The Memorial Day Event

The Memorial Day Best Ball event is open to Men and Women to play. This year the event will be a 9am shotgun start for all who would like to play.

June

June 4th- One Day Member Guest

Friday with a 1pm shotgun start time. The One Day Member Guest is a great way to bring friends or family out to the club to play. The format is 2 best balls of 4 and starts at 1:00. You can either bring 1 or 3 guests and you are welcome to pair up with whomever you would like. The cost is $60 per person and includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes.

June 12th & 13th - The OCC Match Play Championship

This will be the second year of this event after a successful first year in 2020. Day 1 is round robin within your flight of 4 players. Day 2 is bracket play with the flight winners and Net 1 of 3 for the players who did not advance. Tee times are set for the morning each day.

June 24th - Ladies 9 Hole Guest Day

This is a great chance to bring a friend or three out to the club to play in a fun and casual event. The 9- hole guest day is designed to be a fun night with a dinner after golf. We will have events and prizes for the night. The Guest Day will begin at 5:30 with a shotgun start.

June 25th & June 26th - The Keystone Cup - Member, Member

2 player teams in two day event honoring our Keystone Founders - Details to come.

June 27th - Founders Gala and Golf Tournament

The Founders Gala is a celebration of those who helped make OCC what it is today. If you are a founder, you will see information regarding the tournament soon.

July

July 4th - 4th of July Flag Day Event

The OCC Flag tournament may be the most unique at the club.). Here is how it works. Each player that tees off will receive a flag with their name on it. You will play until you hit 71 shots (par for the course) plus your handicap strokes and drop the flag, once you have reached your limit. The cost is $5 per player and you can make your own tee time. Call the golf shop to sign up.

July 8th, 9th and 10th. The Joseph R. Shea Invitational

The member-guest is one of the "can't miss" event of the year. The practice round is Thursday, and a combined five, nine-hole matches on Friday and Saturday. Shootout for final champion after all matches are complete. Reach out to Golf Professional for further details and sign up.

July 15th: Ladies Invitational

The Ladies Invitational is a four-person best ball tournament, attracting players from all over the state. We have strong participation from OCC as well. This is a great chance to invite some friends to play and have a great day of golf, lunch and prizes. This tournament fills very fast so be sure to sign up right away. Call the golf shop for more details.

July 22nd - The Ladies Wine & 9

These are fun and casual events. This event is for ladies only. The cost is $25 per person and includes cart and field event prizes! The event will begin at 5:30pm with a shotgun start. Wine and appetizers are available every third hole. The only rule is HAVE FUN!

July 24th & 25th - The Men's Club Championship

This Championship is open to Men. We will have a Championship flight and other flights for all skill levels. I would encourage all players to play. This is a great opportunity to test your game and have fun.

July 30th - Wine & 9

These are fun and casual events. The cost is $25 per person and includes cart and field event prizes! The event will begin at 5:30pm with a shotgun start. Wine and appetizers are available every third hole. The only rule is HAVE FUN!

August 7th & 8th - The Owatonna City Open

The City Open is open to adults ages 18 and older who live or work in Steele County. The dates are August 8th and 9th. It is open to players of all skill levels and is flighted by handicap. This is a championship and makes no difference what you shoot, you will be playing with players in your own skill level. Depending on your flight, you will play each course on different days. Typically we get around 100 players from the area and would like to increase the size of the field for this year. Call the golf shop for more details

August 12th - Ladies 9 Hole Guest Day

This is a great chance to bring a friend or three out to the club to play in a fun and casual event. The 9- hole guest day is designed to be a fun night with a dinner after golf. We will have events and prizes for the night. The Guest Day will begin at 5:30 with a shotgun start. More details to come.

August 21st & 22nd - Women, Senior and Junior Club Championships

This Championship is open to Women's, Senior's, and Juniors. I would encourage all players to play. This is a great opportunity to test your game and have fun.

August 27th - Wine & 9

These are fun and casual events and this event is unique in that it will have Big Cups. The cost is $25 per person and includes cart and field event prizes! The event will begin at 5:00pm with a shotgun start. Wine and appetizers are available every third hole. The only rule is HAVE FUN!

September

September 1st - Super Skins Finale

Qualifiers from the previous superskins will have a skins game with the accumulated pot from the season.

September 6th - Labor Day Classic

The Labor Day classic is a two-person team event. It is a 6-6-6 event which was a hit last year! 6 holes best ball, 6 holes scramble and 6 holes alternate shot. It will be held on Labor Day, this event will be a 9am shotgun start. This is a great way to end the year and play in a fun event.

September 11th and 12th - Ryder Cup

The OCC Ryder Cup, one of the best events of the year. All members are encouraged to sign up. We will divide teams before the event on Friday. If you have never played in a Ryder Cup type event, they are the most fun you will have all year.

September 25th - OCC Cup Points Shootout

After all the OCC point events are complete, we will take the top 10 in points, plus ties to play in a shootout starting at 9:00am.

September 29th - The OCC Crunch

The goal of this event is to OCC's ultimate test. Back tees and tough pins will test your game. Make your own tee time and sign up in the pro shop.

October 10th - The Polar Bear Scramble

This event is a three-person scramble open to members and non-members. Event begins with a shotgun start at 9:00am. Teams are flighted into either an A or B flight. This is a great chance to bring friends out for one last tournament of the season. The cost is $40 per person for members and $50 per person for non-members. After golf, we will have a keg of beer and a chili bar set up.

October 23rd - The OCCCCCCCCC

OCCCCCCCCC: This 9 hole cross country event is a fun way to cap off a great season with some holes you have never played before!
