Hole #10 - Tanner Grimmius - Current Member
The tenth hole is a reachable par 5 playing just under 500 yards. The primary defenses of the hole is its undulating terrane and a severely left to right slopping fairway. Players unable to carry the ball 220 yards will be forced to follow the dogleg right fairway. Those able to carry the ball further will have the option to carry a portion of the right trees setting up a shot at the green. A right side fairway bunker 40 yards out and a large tree greenside left make a precise layup a must. The green surround is heavily bunkered and drops off hard right of the green. Lemond Road runs along the entire left side of the fairway and hugs in tight left of the green complex which slopes back left to front right. Putting from the center of this green will offer a nice look at birdie, or even the occasional eagle.
Personal story: While playing a men's day round this past summer I was fortunate enough to receive a "generous" bounce off the short right greenside cart path to 2 inches for a tap-in eagle, which moved me to a career low -8 thru 10 holes. The golf gods called my bluff two holes later where I made double bogey 7 on the twelfth hole.
